With extensive teaching experience at respected New York City institutions including 92NY School of Music, Church Street School for Music and Art, and Henry Street Settlement, Allie has worked with students of all ages and experience levels. She believes every student has a unique voice and learns best in a supportive, encouraging environment. Her lessons combine healthy vocal technique, musicianship, creativity, and performance skills, empowering students to build confidence, express themselves authentically, and achieve their individual musical goals, whether preparing for auditions, performances, or simply singing for the joy of it.
Teacher Biography
Allie Glassman is a singer-songwriter, jazz vocalist, and dedicated music educator based in New York City. She holds a Master of Arts in Music Education from Teachers College, Columbia University and a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Vocal Performance from The New School for Jazz and Contemporary Music. With years of teaching experience at leading music institutions including 92NY School of Music, Church Street School for Music and Art, and Henry Street Settlement, Allie specializes in voice instruction, audition preparation, songwriting, and musical theater. She has helped numerous students gain acceptance into New York City’s premier performing arts schools while building confidence, strong vocal technique, and expressive musicianship. As an active performer, Allie has appeared at music festivals throughout New York City, including the New York Coffee Festival, performed as a featured Sofar Sounds artist in both New York and Baltimore, and continues to perform regularly throughout the New York metropolitan area. Her passion for both performing and teaching inspires students of all ages to develop their unique artistic voice in a supportive and engaging environment.
